Back from Anaheim!

I'm finally back from my five-day tour of duty in Anaheim, California at SunGard Summit 2008. Happiest Place on Earth! Trip Highlights:

  • Disneyland! I got in early on Saturday, and my hotel was across the street from the Happiest Place On Earth™. So, naturally, I went! Photos are here. Best parts: Haunted Mansion, Thunder Ridge Mountain, Matterhorn, Pirates of the Caribbean. Saddest part: no Small World.
  • Knott's Berry Farm! The rides are amazing. Ghost rider was perfectly fantastic. Over a half mile of wooden roller coaster deliciousness. Even better: the Excellerator! 0 to 80 miles per hour in under 2 seconds. It's the most amazing ride I've ever done.
Also, now reading Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore, a totally amazing book that I picked up in the Minneapolis airport while waiting for my sadistic Northwest Airlines masters to take me to Anaheim.
Oh, and I almost forgot. There was a little surprise waiting for me at my hotel when I arrived.
